Alicia Vikander Says "Ex Machina" Will Be Twisted

"Lots of twists and turns" in Alex Garland's sci-fi script.

The rising star Alicia Vikander is back in Sweden to promote her latest movie, the dramedy "Hotel" that premiered in Toronto just recently. Next year she will star in Guy Ritchie's "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." and has recently wrapped "Ex Machina", a science fiction directed by Alex Garland.

- He is an extremely good writer, the script was among the best I´ve ever read. Lots of twists and turns. It is a psychological thriller with only a few characters. Trust me, you don't want to know anymore, she tells MovieZine.se.

But we do want to know more! And we found out there are only three parts (Domhnall Gleeson and Oscar Isaac play the other two) and many long dialogue scenes, but not without a commercial appeal to it.

Alicia Vikander also shared what it's like to play a robot:

- Alex gave me lots of freedom. He allowed me to put in my own ideas and thoughts. So we really got to create for ourselves whatever she, or it, is. It was a fantastic shoot, and the shortest I've ever done but with the longest days. Because I was in the make up chair for many hours each day.
