Häromdagen anordnades den 42:a Golden Joystick Awards (eller People's Gaming Awards), där en av kategoerierna är "mest efterlängtade spel".
Den här gången blev vinnaren "Grand Theft Auto VI" av Rockstar Games, vilket inte är särskilt oväntat med tanke på att föregångaren har sålts i över 205 miljoner exemplar.
"Grand Theft Auto VI" är under utveckling till Playstation 5 och Xbox Series X/S, där det är planerat att släppas under hösten 2025. En PC-version är tänkt att komma senare.
Spelet utspelar sig i den fiktiva amerikanska delstaten Leonida och den Miami-inspirerade staden Vice City, där vi kommer få följa den kriminella duon Lucia och hennes partner.
De andra nominerade i kategorin var "Doom: The Dark Ages", "Fable", "Ghost of Yotei" och "Death Stranding 2". "Grand Theft Auto VI" hade dock överlägset flest röster.
Andra intressanta vinnare i andra kategorier är Amazon Prime Video-serien "Fallout" för bästa adaption, "Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth" för bästa soundtrack, "Balatro" för bästa indiespel och "Black Myth Wukong" till årets spel.
